Today is the day. After months of building, testing, and refining — the PIKNIC Financial Empowerment Curriculum is officially live.
This isn't just another program. This is a three-level system designed to teach kids about money through the lens of sports — because textbooks don't hit the same way a football playbook does.
📚 The Curriculum: 3 Levels
Level 1 — "The Starter Pack" (Ages 8–12)
Earning, saving, and the value of money — taught through sports-themed games and activities. Building the foundation early.
Level 2 — "The Playbook" (Ages 13–16)
Budgeting, credit, goal-setting, and avoiding financial traps — framed through an athlete's journey from high school to the pros.
Level 3 — "The Money Playbook" (Ages 16–18)
Investing, entrepreneurship, compound interest, and building generational wealth. The advanced playbook for future leaders.
🎯 Why This Matters
Here's a stat that still hits me: only 34% of Americans can answer 4 out of 5 basic financial literacy questions. And the gap is even wider in communities like the ones I grew up in.
When I was in the NFL, I saw teammates — grown men making millions — who didn't understand taxes, investments, or how to make their money last. If we're not teaching kids these skills early, we're setting them up to repeat the same cycle.
That's why PIKNIC Foundation exists. We meet kids where they are — on the field — and teach them the money skills that change lives.
